Installation Guide

1. Insert the Wholesale Hollow Headed Clevis Pin Manufacturer Direct through the first yoke ear, then through the mating part, then through the second yoke ear. The head should rest against the outside of the first ear.

2. Align the cross hole at the tip of the pin with the slot in the yoke ear. The cross hole must be fully visible past the second ear.

3. Insert a cotter pin through the cross hole. Spread the legs of the cotter pin to prevent backing out. For safety wire applications, loop the wire through the hollow head as a secondary retention.

4. For aircraft or racing use, also pass safety wire through the hollow head cavity and secure to a fixed point nearby. This prevents the pin from falling out even if the cotter pin fails.

5. Check that the pin rotates freely in the yoke ears. If not, check for burrs or misalignment. The pin should be a slip fit – never hammered in.

6. Do not reuse hollow headed clevis pins that show wear on the head or shank. The hollow head is strong but replacement is cheap compared to a failed linkage.
